Re-inventing Haiti - Day Three
For decades, Haitians have left their country to help it. On Dick's final report, he hears young people talking about the importance of not leaving. We visit a nursing program in the city of Leogane where students are offered scholarships to study, in return for a commitment of two years service as a health worker. Dick also speaks to Dr. Claude Surena, a key health official, about how Haiti must make great strides to be able to offer young people jobs and a good health care system to work in.
Guests in this special: Micarna L'Ouiseau, Franzee L'Ouiseau, Claude Surena, Sandro Linden, Marah Armand.
