Bedtime Stories for Justice
Illana Rovner's father always told stories of struggle and justice to put her to bed. He reminded her that their immediate family fled Latvia from the Nazis and that many left behind were killed. Illana remembers deciding early, at age 7, that she wanted to study law. She never imagined becoming a federal judge in Chicago.
