Our education series ends today with a look at education and sports. Virginia Commonwealth University basketball coach Shaka Smart has created a system of support and tutoring for his student-athletes. While teaching his students the meaning of education, he also found time to lead his team to the Final Four of last year's NCAA Basketball Tournament.
Breaking Down the Score
Vasu Kulkarni grew up in India. Most kids play cricket there, but Vasu fell in love with basketball. He was good enough to play on the junior varsity team for the University of Pennsylvania. But his big break came when he developed software that helps players and coaches.
