Nurturing Monet's Garden
Elizabeth Murray
Elizabeth Murray quit her dream job to volunteer in Monet's garden in Giverny, France. Her family thought she was mad to leave her cushy horticulture job in California on a verbal promise for free room and board. But Elizabeth says her urge to work there was unbreakable. Chris Nissen
Chris Nissen was an art school student trying to establish himself as an artist, and not having a lot of luck. One day Chris and his art school friends were out searching for landscapes to paint, when they realized they were near the home of the famous, but publicity-shy artist, Andrew Wyeth. They decided to take a chance and knocked on his door. The door opened for only a few seconds, but that short exchange would be the beginning of an adventure that shaped Chris' entire career.
