A new documentary film called Racing Dreams opens in theaters this weekend. One of the stars of the film is Annabeth Barnes. She can't drive a car; the 15-year-old doesn't have her license yet. But she took her first spin on a race track when she was four years old. The vehicle hit 30 mph and Annabeth loved every second of it. After that, she moved up to kart racing, a gateway sport to NASCAR. She won several championships, including two grand national titles, and she's now getting used to full-sized stock cars. She joins Dick Gordon to talk about the thrill of the race.

A couple of weeks ago, Dick spoke with Bill Caswell. Bill used to be an investment banker. But after he got laid off, he chose an unlikely new career: rally car driving. Scott Brills heard the interview and wrote to say: "I thought you might be interested in what I did last summer. I drove a 2001 Geo Metro from Detroit to New York, shipped it to London, picked up the car, and continued on 10,000 miles and 17 countries to Mongolia. Along the way we were marooned in no-man's-land, held captive by corrupt police, stuck at numerous border crossings, and had our car break down in the middle of Tajikistan on a 10,000 foot plateau--seven hours from the nearest town." Scott joins Dick to tell his story.
