A Literary witness to abu ghraib
Nick Flynn
General David Petraeus made a powerful observation this past weekend on the program "Meet the Press" about the way the U.S. handled Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib. Petraeus said, "Abu Ghraib and other situations like that are non-biodegradable. They don't go away. The enemy continues to beat you with them like a stick." Nick Flynn hopes that what happened at Abu Ghraib is not forgotten. Nick is a writer. He was among those invited to hear firsthand testimony from many of the men depicted in those now infamous photographs. Nick joins Dick Gordon to talk about his new book that weaves his thoughts on his personal life (he was expecting his first child), and his experience listening to the testimonies.
