Tomie DePaola's books have won reams of awards, including both top literary nods for children: the Newbury Medal for outstanding writing and the Caldecott Medal for illustration.
Tomie has also published a book for adults, called "Christmas Memories." The book includes holiday memories from his storied life - suburban childhood, bohemian art school, and cloistered monastery.
