Hat In Hand

Louise Bell has a story she thinks about on Mother's Day. Louise's mom had passed away. The family was on their way to her mother's funeral. As they approached the cemetery, Louise happened to see a white man she didn't know. The man had his hat off, and his head bowed in respect. That moment helped change her idea about the culture of people in the South.
