One Meaning of The Season

Produced by

ONE MEANING OF THE SEASON

Huy Nguyen is one of the thousands of Vietnamese “boat people” who came to America in the 1980s. The Christmas season has real meaning for the his family. When Huy left Vietnam with his mother and sisters, they had to leave their father behind. They took to sea where they survived storms and pirates. Years later, in the refugee camp, the Nguyen family experienced a Christmas miracle.

THE REAPPEARING NUN

Bobby Brasher wrote to tell us a story of coincidence. It involved two of the lowest moments of her life - and a nun who appeared at just the right time, in two different hospitals, years apart. Even though Bobby hasn't seen Jane Neussendorfer in almost 20 years, to her, their interaction was unforgettable.
