Classroom Power Tools

Today, The Story begins a week-long series of programs about education. Up first: a trip to Bertie County, North Carolina. In an innovative shop class calledStudio H, students are learning to design, use tools, and think creatively about ways to improve their community. The class culminated this summer when the students designed and built a farmers market pavilion. Dick talks with students Cameron Perry, Alexia Williams, Kerron Hayes, and one of their teachers, Emily Pilloton.
