Queen of the Flowers

When Lauren Silver first met the uncle of a friend, Teodore, he was a cranky old man who screamed at her. When she saw Teodore again he was different - he even asked Lauren to plant flowers in his yard. Lauren didn’t understand then what she knows now - that dementia can spur fear and erratic behavior in its victims. Lauren talks with Dick about how she earned Teodore’s trust, despite his illness. The two formed a deep friendship, and Lauren soon became “The Queen of the Flowers.”
