99% Invisible: Berkeley Free Speech Movement

UNC was able to come up with a marker to commemorate the fight for free speech, which makes its debut today. In 1989, a national public art competition was held to create a monument that would honor the Free Speech movement which began on the campus of University of California-Berkeley in 1964.
