Parent Teacher Conferences In The Grocery Aisle

We check back with Reuben Jackson, who left his job last summer as a Smithsonian Institution archivist for one as a high school teacher. The Story started talking to him before he began teaching English at Vermont’s Burlington High School, and after a parent-teacher night. Today, Reuben talks to Dick about trying to engage students with his assignments and encouraging their “poet’s eye.”
