We have two conversations about Syria today: one with a photographer who was embedded with Syrian rebels, and another with Osama Nasser, a Syrian peace activist who is in hiding in Damascus. [Photo credit:]
In our first story, Osama Nasser tells guest host Sean Cole that the last few days have been pivotal for his country. He believes Syrians have to act on their own, non-violently. He is working with displaced Syrians, housing and feeding them.
Sean then talks with photographerof Polaris Images. He spent ten days traveling with Syrian rebels and photographing them fighting and resting. He talks about the men he met and what drives them to take up arms; some are army deserters and others have lost family to army attacks
