100 Years Of John Cage: A Centenary Celebration

Produced by

To celebrate John Cage's centenary, ten composers have created new pieces of music, inspired by ten places in London. Listeners are encouraged to walk from location to location, listening to the music on headphones, and allowing the ambient noise of the city to merge with the music. Guest host Sean Cole talks with two of the composers, David Sawer and Judith Weir, about the possibilities of writing music that evokes a place, and why a music walk is a fitting tribute to John Cage.
