Boston's Cocoanut Grove Fire: Unsolved After 70 Years

Dick speaks to Marshall Cole, who escaped the Cocoanut Grove Fire of 1942, the deadliest nightclub fire in American history. He was a 16-year-old dancer and was near the roof when the fire erupted. The fire brought changes in safety regulations such as automatic sprinklers, a ban on locking exit doors and emergency lighting. Read the NFPA's history of the fire here, and about the effort to collect stories here. Also, see a photo of Marshall as a dancer here.
