The world’s largest offshore wind farm officially opened this past weekend. It’s a collection of a hundred of the tallest such turbines off the coast of England. It’s called the Thanet Wind Farm and it’s supposed to be able to power 200,000 homes. Wind power is moving more slowly in the U.S., but the blades are starting to turn. Andy Swapp is a recent convert to wind power. Andy is a high school shop teacher who has enlisted his students to train in this booming new industry. Former student Cade Boyter joins the conversation. Also: a real life music man.
