Artist Bo Gehring makes portraits with a slow moving camera -- like an MRI machine -- in an even pace set to music. The lens settles on the shoes of the person, the socks, pants, hands, the breath and, finally, the face. It is a way to see with fresh eyes and reveal a portrait. Gehring was awarded first place in a competition for the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery.
