All The Buildings In New York

Produced by
Sean Cole

When illustrator James Gulliver Hancock moved to New York City in 2009, he started to get familiar with the city by illustrating its buildings. When he sees landmarks such as the Empire State Building or historic Brooklyn brownstones he sees lines: the rows of stone, the grout, the windows. He has done over 1,000 paintings and plans to do them all. In this conversation, he tells guest host Sean Cole about his collection of sketches, “All the Buildings in New York.”
