Cody Dent, Like His Father Bucky, Ruins A Perfect Game For The Red Sox

Produced by
Eric Mennel

In 1978, New York Yankees shortstop, Bucky Dent hit a homerun that helped knock the Boston Red Sox out of the playoffs. He’s been the proverbial enemy of every Sox fan since. Today, his son, Cody Dent, plays professional ball. But that’s not the only legacy he’s maintaining. In July, Cody Dent managed to spoil a perfect game being thrown by the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate, the Lowell Spinners. In the words of Cody’s teammate, “Now everyone in Boston is going to hate your family.”
