Florida has long been a retirees’ paradise, and also a final resting place. But when people die, their families don’t always show up to claim their belongings.
So every year, Florida’s Bureau of Unclaimed Property auctions off abandoned items from safety deposit boxes like one producer Kenny Malone found in Lot 180.
In this case, Malone found a collection of salt shakers and a picture of a man and a woman in the snow. He set out to find the owner’s family.
