Dad’s Job Isn’t So Bad

Produced by

Bert Stratton resisted joining his family’s business for years before eventually giving in. He freelanced for magazines and played music in bands – then finally went to work for his father’s property rental company in the suburbs of Cleveland. Now, with grown sons of his own – one a lawyer, another a musician - he’s looking for ways to get them to eventually join the business. In this conversation, he talks to host Dick Gordon about the sometimes dirty business of managing rental properties and why so few young people are interested in it.
