Grandma’s Tales

Produced by

Writer Andrew Lam moved to the United States from Vietnam when he was 12 years old. He has been a guest on our program before, speaking about the possible link between immigrant frustrations and violence. While Andrew has spoken on the program about his life in America, we've not yet heard from him as an artist. In this show, he reads a short story from his collection Birds of Paradise Lost. The book just won the Pen Josephine Miles Literary Award.
