Puppeteer Basil Twist And The Rite Of Spring (4.12.13)

The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky almost caused a riot when it was first seen 100 years ago. Today it has become a classic and is being celebrated on its centenary- yet eyebrows can still be raised when a puppeteer stages his version. That production premieres today. Also: Wildlife photographer Tim Laman tells Dick about his journey to photograph every species of the Birds of Paradise.

Music

"The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky; "I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry" by Cowboy Junkies; "Nunca Mais" by Zuco 103; "Lady Be Good" by Stephane Grappelli
