All this week, people from Southern Sudan have been casting their vote in a referendum to decide if they should become their own nation. Twenty-year-old Nyuol Tong was born in Sudan. He spent much of his childhood surrounded by civil war and living in refugee camps. He is now a student at Duke University, and will be traveling to Alexandria, Virginia on Friday to vote.
